ActionCOACH Ireland Client Survey

ActionCOACH Client Survey Results October 2008.

A very big ‘Thank You’ to all who participated in the ActionCOACH Client Survey in 2008 which was launched in September to ascertain (1) a client profile (2) marketing information.
We are delighted to report that our survey has been very well supported with a 42% response rate. The survey was completed by a broad spectrum of clients across 23 industries
and on a nationwide basis.

Our survey was complied as an online ‘Survey Monkey’ which streamlines and simplifies the process of data collection. Using surveymonkey.com is an excellent and highly efficient tool as it also provides analysis and easy to read reports and results.

Clients Performance:
As expected a large number of clients are reporting the negative effects of the current economic climate on their businesses—however the encouraging data from the survey shows that some clients are still showing growth/ healthy growth under the following headings:
Turnover 32.8% growth
Net Profits 27.2% growth
Sales 32.4% growth
Employee No’s 28.5% growth
And all of the above is against a background of 45.7% of clients showing an increase in costs.

Business Associations:
We asked our clients to let us know what Business Groupings they are affiliated to. The survey has shown the following:

Newspaper Readership:
According to our survey the most popular newspapers that our clients ‘always’, ‘nearly always’ or
‘sometimes’ read are as follows:
Daily Newspapers:
Irish Times 78.4%
Daily Independent 60.7%
Examiner 21.0%

Sunday Newspapers:
Sunday Business Post 76.2%
Sunday Times 59.7%
Sunday Independent 57.4%
Sunday Tribune 32.6%

Radio Listenership:
The survey also shows that the morning time is by far the most popular time for ActionCOACH
clients to listen to the radio with 84.3% listening to morning radio, 50% listening to evening time radio, 24.8% listening to weekend radio and 18.8% who listen to lunchtime radio while only 15.7% of clients listening to afternoon radio.

The Radio shows with the biggest following amongst our Action-COACH clients are as follows:
Morning Ireland RTE Radio1 57.4%
The Right Hook-Newstalk 44.3%
Today FM 32.8%
Drive Time RTE Radio1 26.2%
Breakfast Show Newstalk 23.0%

Hobbies and Interests:
Our clients would also appear to be a very sporty lot with 45.1% who are members of a gym. 35.5% are belonging to a Golf Club, 23.5% belong to a sporting club, 21.6% are involved in the G.A.A. While 19.6% are member of rugby clubs with 7.8% belonging to soccer clubs.
Our facts and figures on TV viewership for sports are also very interesting and these show clearly that Rugby has the biggest following on TV for our clients. The following are the percentage of clients who say that they always/nearly always watch these sports on TV:
6 Nations 52.35%
Heineken Cup 37.50%
Golf –Ryder Cup 30.50%
Golf—Masters 25.85%
Hurling 16.70%
Gaelic Football 13.60%
Premiership Football 6.80%

SURVEY RAISES €500.00 FOR OUR LADY’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, CRUMLIN, Dublin 12!


As promised, a donation was made to Our Lady’s Hospital and their Medical Research Foundation in Crumlin, Dublin12 for every completed survey received. We are delighted to report
that with your help—we raised €500 for this very worthy cause.

The Children’s Medical Research Foundation is the fundraising umbrella for both the Hospital and the Research Centre. The Foundation is dedicated to the improvement of children’s health. They invest all funds raised into paediatric care, research and education to help at Our Lady’s Hospital and throughout Ireland. Mr. Gerry Cully of the Medical Foundation said that he
was extremely grateful to the clients of ActionCOACH who raised this money and to ActionCOACH
Business Coaching for cocoordinating this event on their behalf.
